Inpatient Nursing:
Rio Grande Hospital staff provides an excellent work environment for Nursing.
Teamwork is rampant at our hospital and everyone is willing to step in and help each
other out. Registered Nurses are encouraged to maintain Advanced Cardiac Life
Support Training, Pediatric Advanced Life Support Training and Trauma Nursing
Critical Care Training and all nurses and staff maintain Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation
Certification.
Rio Grande Hospital utilizes state of the art nursing stations with cardiac and respiratory
monitoring equipment transmitting information from rooms to the central station where
physicians and nurses can coordinate quality and patient focused care.
Rio Grande Hospital offers:
10 Private and Spacious Rooms with private full bathrooms.
2 Semi-Private Rooms
3 Observation Rooms
Rio Grande Hospital employs:
11 Full Time Registered Nurses
3 Part Time Registered Nurses
4 Full Time Licensed Practical Nurses
5 Certified Nurses Aides
2 Unit Clerks

Evaluation and care for emergencies and
acute illness is available 24 hours a day.
Rio Grande Hospital is approved by the
State of Colorado as a level IV trauma
center. We provide a 5 Bed Emergency
Room staffed 24 hours a day/7 days a
week with nursing staff and physicians.
